We are delighted to welcome back Casting Associate Simon Higgins for another workshop for TAG!
Simon has worked with Dan Hubbard and is now with Olivia Scott-Webb.
A few days before the workshop Simon will send out a selection of scenes to choose from. Please choose the one that you would like to work on, irrespective of whether it fits your usual casting. After an introduction from Simon, he will work through each person's scene individually, with another participant reading in the other lines. Simon will give some feedback and direction and give the opportunity to read again. The session will end with a Q&A.
Credits include, The Pope's Exorcist, directed by Julius Avery & starring Russell Crowe; announced but yet to be released feature films, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, directed by Guy Ritchie; Verona, a new original musical based on Romeo & Juliet directed by Timothy Scott Bogart; Canary Black, directed by Pierre Morel, the director of 'Taken' & starring Kate Beckinsale; Midas Man, a biopic of Brian Epstein, the man who discovered The Beatles, directed by Joe Stephenson; Arcadian, directed by Benjamin Brewer & starring Nicolas Cage & Magpie, directed by Sam Yates & starring Daisy Ridley - all due for release in 2024.
He plugged away as an actor for 10 years, before deciding to sidestep into the world of casting, and is now lucky enough to have seen things from both perspectives and thoroughly enjoys offering as many nuggets of new found wisdom as he can!
Simon has just finished working on series 2 of BBC's THE GOLD and is currently working on a new feature film for Netflix.
