Rowland Beckley works as a casting director for the in-house BBC casting department and is currently casting Casualty and Eastenders.
Casting Continuing Drama offers the opportunity to discuss with Rowland his take on the casting process, to read for him and receive honest feedback and advice.
This listing is for females only so that we can achieve an equal gender split - males should book here for the same class: https://www.actorsguild.co.uk/seminar-info/?id=2348
The workshop will start with a brief introduction where Rowland will outline who he is, the productions he casts, and the format of the BBC shows he works on - including what he is looking for during an individual performance.
Rowland will receive your Spotlight CV prior to the workshop (please make sure it is up-to-date) and will then send out a scene for your to prepare a day or two before the workshop. This section of the workshop will take up the majority of the time as, having read your scene, Rowland will provide you with notes and direction before giving you the opportunity to read again.
TAG workshops offer a supportive environment in which to work. All members perform their scenes in front of each other - offering a unique insight and opportunity for us as a group. There will be a Q&A section at the end of the workshop.
