To the wonderful team at The Actors’ Guild…

As the new bursary winner has just been announced I wanted to write and give my huge, wholehearted thanks to you all.

Winning last year’s bursary was such an honour and a privilege for me. Knowing someone has such belief in you to deem you worthy of such a unique collection of benefits gave me renewed faith to keep on being optimistic, that great things can be just around the corner. But the best part of all was discovering The Actors’ Guild itself.

I have gleaned so much extra knowledge of our industry, made contacts, had castings and landed my first feature – ‘Flying Blind’, starring Helen McCrory and directed by the award winning Kasia Klimkiewicz – I learnt so much from the stellar cast.

I also appreciate the camaraderie and support from meeting and working with other talented actors at Actors’ Guild events. It’s such a tough profession and true community and support hard to come by. That’s the reason The Actors’ Guild is such vital to the acting community.

So a massive thank you for everything that has come out of this for me this year and for the opportunities that are opening up. You do such a phenomenal job in bringing a vital and accessible service to our community. Every one of the team does such an important job.
